Mudgee Health & Medical Career Day

The inaugural Mudgee Health & Medical Career Day at CUC Mudgee Region was a huge success with over 40 enthusiastic students attending from Mudgee High School and St Matthews Catholic College. Medical and health professionals gave informative presentations sharing their career journeys and experiences working in the medical field in regional western NSW. The presentations included doctors, medical students, physiotherapists, pharmacists, psychologists, and nurses, and representatives from the Royal Flying Doctors and NSW Health. The University of Wollongong and school career Counsellors presented study pathways to enable students to achieve their goals of becoming qualified and practicing medical professionals in regional NSW. The Career Day was a huge success with students sharing how they were inspired by the presentations, while also gaining valuable information to enable each student to achieve their career goals. The Career Day was a collaborative event by CUC Mudgee Region, the Mudgee Doctors group, the University of Wollongong and the high schools.
